Make that wardrobe pop!!

with colours, that is.

I have to say I'm completely in lust with Camilla Belle's colour block ensemble by Gucci. Juicy, juicy colours with that hint of gold is enough to make a girl go ga-ga.

A few other options to explore if you're feeling inspired like myself =)

Topping It Off with Mustard

We were put in the colour-choice chair recently, and somehow realised how drawn we were to the shade of mustard. No we weren't hungry at that time, but somehow this pop-the-look colour seems to have the ability to make all things beautiful.

The colour that we once grimaced at, has now managed to grace runways in abundance.

If you ever feel like playing up your wardrobe, or think you need to feed your appetite for colour, go mustard! Just like the actual seed itself, a little goes a long way!

Vintage is but getting it right is another. Mixing and matching is the way to go but sometimes it can be quite a challenge to strike the balance between looking like a bag lady vs oh-so-Alexa Chung! Here are a few tips and tricks :

1. I always say the best part of vintage fashion is that anything old can be new again. So don't be afraid to raid your mom's or even grandma's closet for some oldies but goodies.

2. The key to not looking like your grandma is to make sure you mix it up! =) Rather than dressing vintage from head to toe, make sure you incorporate one great piece with your daily outfit.

3. Don't be afraid to visit your tailor! That fabulous 50s cocktail dress you managed to snag could have been a better fit back then. Get the most of your vintage clothing by sending them to the tailor. Nothing is worse than having clothes that don't fit well.

4. Remember when i mentioned everything old can be new again? Sometimes all you need is a little twist and modification to revive those vintage pieces. For example, try changing the buttons on the blouse, shortening the dress and adding a belt - you name it! Even minor changes can give you a completely new look.

5. Don't forget to accessorize! Instead of vintage clothing you can opt for vintage accessories to spice up any modern day outfits. Sometimes all it takes is one fantastic piece of jewelry to give you the perfect amount of vintage charm and take your outfit to a whole new level of chic!

At the end of the day there are no set rules so have fun and rock your own style!

The Pony

Gone are the days when ponytails were just meant for schoolgirls. This simple hairdo has now made a comeback with a stylish vengeance. Popular on both runways and red carpets, it's amazing how sleek and chic this updo can be!

Kim in her ever famous sleek look
Katy Perry gets it (very) wrong occasionally, but this certainly isn't one of those times
